Cardless ATM transactions?

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

Last week Privier Inc., a Charlotte, NC-based startup, announced the launch of an innovative no-card ATM service.

Until now, no-card ATM transactions were only available in parts of Europe and Asia.

Privier says its iTransfer and mPayment will allow bank customers to electronically transfer funds — using mobile banking or online banking —  to a recipient who is then able to withdraw the funds without needing a card or bank account.

“We equip ATM screens with an icon, which reads ‘Pickup Cash’. All the recipient needs to do is press this icon, which will automatically activate the ATM for a Privier iTransfer or mPayment transaction,” said Charles Polanco, CEO of Privier Inc.

The system isn’t seamless: the sender needs to tell the recipient the amount of the transfer and a 10-digit withdrawal number, and the recipient’s only option is to withdraw the entire amount: no partial withdrawals allowed. But it’s a start.

ATM Network to raise $30,000 for tsunami relief

Monday, January 10th, 2005

ATM Network, an automatic teller machine (ATM) hardware, software and transaction-processing company, announced a year-long, systemwide sales effort to raise money to help the victims of the Tsunami in Southeast Asia and African countries. The total money raised is expected to reach $30,000.

ATM Network will donate $100 for every ATM sold during the first two months of the year to the American Red Cross and its International Response Fund. ATM Network’s sales team began building its fund for the Tsunami victims quickly following the disaster and will continue raising funds through the remaining 10 months of 2005 with $25 donated per ATM sold.

Our sales team is committed and motivated about this effort to help the victims of one of the worst natural disasters in the past century,” says Phil Rock, CEO and founder of ATM Network based in Minneapolis. “They know that the funds will be raised to help innocent victims and their loved ones in need. Through my travels, I have connected with the people of Indonesia, a country devastated by this disaster. I am sure these people and the many others affected will find great use for our donation and re-build quickly.

ATM Network selected The American Red Cross and its International Response Fund for its direct access to the most people in need. The American Red Cross has quickly established contact with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and sister societies located in the nine affected countries to determine how best the organization can be of assistance to those affected by the Tsunami.

ATM Network was founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1996, and since has become one of the most innovative and fastest growing independent ATM companies in North America. The company has partnered with thousands of merchants who have benefited greatly from an ATM Network program.

BPAA signs new deal with ATM Network

Wednesday, December 18th, 2002

The Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA) announced to their members earlier this month a new exclusive discount program agreement with ATM Network. This new program will provide bowling center owners with a profitable plan designed exclusively for members.

ATM Network will provide an exclusive program to the BPAA to increase customer spending, as well as reduce bad checks and credit card fees. The independent sales organization (ISO) guarantees the best program at the best price in the industry because all of their ATMs come with a 90-Day Best Price Guarantee.

“With more than 3,500 members located across the US, the BPAA chose ATM Network because they were able to take care of all of our members nationwide with a comprehensive program that we could count on, from equipment to service to processing,” says Bowling Proprietors Association of America Executive Director John Berglund. “It is important to us that our members are provided with an attractive program from a national ISO who will guarantee aggressive pricing that does not present any hidden charges, and is able to reach all of our members.”

Beginning next month in January 2003, ATM Network will work with the BPAA to sell this exclusive program to its members.

ATM Network was founded in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1996, and since has become one of the most innovative and fastest growing independent ATM companies in North America. We have partnered with over 2,000 merchants who have benefited greatly from an ATM Network program.

ATM Network named NLBA Red Ribbon Partner

Friday, August 25th, 2000

The National Licensed Beverage Association (NLBA) is pleased to announce the addition of ATM Network, eSkye.com and VitalLink as its newest Red Ribbon Partners. Through these strategic partnerships both NLBA members and these Red Ribbon Partners benefit through a mutual need for each other’s services.

ATM Network is one of America’s largest ATM companies, providing merchants with profitable, customized ATM programs. In today’s society the ATM has become synonymous with quick cash. ATM Network is providing NLBA members with an exclusive package developed especially for bars, taverns and package stores. More than 150 million Americans carry an ATM card and they conduct more than 12 billion ATM transactions per year. Cash in your customer’s pocket means more sales for licensed beverage retailers. Having an ATM machine in your establishment means customers don’t have to even leave the premises to get money, which, in all likelihood, goes directly to that establishment.

eSkye.com provides a service that could revolutionize the way licensed beverage retailers order products. This free service will allow retailers to order all of their products on-line through eSkye without the tedious process of ordering different items from different wholesalers. eSkye is even providing computers and internet service to beverage retailers at incredible prices. eSkye has also developed an exclusive deal for NLBA members. This deal includes eSkye’s free easy-to-use, easy-to-learn on-line system, time saving one stop ordering and 24-hour a day service. The system allows you to continue ordering from your current distributors. Through eSkye retailers may also eventually be able to order things like napkins and pretzels.

NLBA’s third new partner, VitalLink, provides licensed beverage retailers with a range of on-line tools, which includes video monitoring to prevent theft. Through VitalLink, retailers will also be able to store old videos for future viewing. VitalLink is expanding to offer music streaming, credit card processing and POS back office products. As part of its Red Ribbon Partnership, VitalLink is offering preferential discounted rates to NLBA members. In addition VitalLink is offering a revolutionary product that directly benefits NLBA members by enabling them to see their business live on the Internet at anytime from anywhere in the world.

NLBA has very stringent standards when it comes to offering Red Ribbon Partner status. All of these companies have proven to be reputable businesses with products and services that directly and significantly benefit and interest NLBA members. Red Ribbon Partners provide hundreds of products and services necessary to the licensed beverage industry.
